Welcome to your class blog. Please comment on any of the posts and let's make sure this is a two-way process of communication to ensure it is effective!
I'm very anti-Comic Sans myself, I think it looks pretty terrible. It was used all over my school, probably as an attempt to make signs and posters seem more 'friendly'.
I think a lot of people nowadays can recognise popular fonts subconciously, even if they don't always remember the name. I can even tell the difference between the standard font used for Japanese and Chinese now too, even when the characters used are the same. Chinese has a thinner, 'sharper' look to me now, which is probably a sign that I should spend less time on the computer...
I'm an Arial girl myself....agree comicsans can be a bit to jolly for it's own good. I did see this BBC News feature on BBC Breakfast the other morning - oooh, the letters they had from the viewers!! Took them all morning..bet they wish they had never asked.
And here we are discussing it on our class blog! For reference I made the switch from Times New Roman to Arial a good few years ago due to Quality Assurance regulations (for educational purposes that is.) I guess each font has it's own place. One thing that's certain is that the amount of fonts keep expanding and it's hard to keep up with them all!
Ohhh I have some problem with watching this on, but found something in this same topic. I guess so any way. I think I'm the one which could spend definitely to long time trying to chose one font. So IT do not work to good with me. Maybe I just should finally make my mind about one of them hmmm...
